After my second season in Europe I had signed a contract with the Hamburg Blue Devils in Hamburg, Germany. While training for the upcoming season, I tore my labrum. Just my luck! After complete labrum repair (and a screw in my shoulder) I couldn't do anything for around 6 months. After some motivation given by Barbara Knight and Terry Patterson (no, she's not my cousin!), I was encouraged to continue working on an idea that had been lingering for a while. So, during my therapy I spent my time writing a book. American Epidemic: High Maintenance Women was published and released on May 6th, 2006. The book was published by a Christian publishing company out of Oklahoma and I used my middle name as my pen name. You can find more info about the book at www.americanepidemic.net
